Some of the Mitsubishi MUT3 functions are passworded and those passwords are usually matched to the MDB password fields included in the updates. Which vary by distribution, version and locale. Get a MS Access password cracker and run it on the MDB files in your distribution to learn the passwords.

The Teach-In Function requires a certain version, or later, of the TCU firmware to be installed in the desired TCU. The MUT3 can do this and the newer firmware files are included in the MUT3 software distribution for 2010 and later but must be manually copied over to the computer. Until that TCU version is in the TCU, the MUT 3 will not display the Teach-In option.

Details for installation :
The MUT-3 software with the Chinese usually comes as two directories on one DVD. The first one is the program installation which must be installed first. It is named something like with PRExxxxx, with “xxxxx” indicating the program version. The installer program, Mut3Check.exe, can be run from the sub-directory on the distribution DVD.

Please note that if you have a local security password policy on the computer, the PRG install may fail as the SQL installation does not use a complex password.

After the Mut3Check.exe program is installed and the computer has rebooted, you can install the database updates. Typically in e sub-directory CD3Exxxxx, where “xxxxx” is the version of the update. Only ONE version of Mut2Check.exe can be installed without removing any existing version while MANY updates can be added.

As usual experience, the Db update MUST be executed from a root directory of a CD or DVD, NOT from a sub-directory. Got all kinds of “Failed to install” & “failed to update” errors when running the update from the VD sub-dir.

Burn a new CD with the CD3Exxxx files in the root, so ECUUpdateJudg.exe is in the root of the CD. Then run ECUUpdateJudg.exe from the CD.

to make an installation without having to make a new installation go to the desktop create a folder with the new postsetup file then start the program as an administrator go to admin in the program and go to connections where you find the server’s ip address, I replace it with the folder created in Previous and save it then go extra and go to update and start it and the program will start downloading all the data based on the license you installed once you have finished. You will see that a warning triangle will appear at the bottom right. above and it will come out three wordings update, not update, update then turn off go to update and then switch off, load everything and make it switch get the computer change the lancer and plugins and you’re ok

4.Can I install ODIS new version over old version?

If you mean old version 5.1.3 yes you can just after updater finish use again the cracked files………

If you have 5.0.3 it is recommend to uninstall and then to install the 5.1.5……..

Note, uninstall complete the 4.2.3 and then install the 5.1.5………..

5.Is this Launcher (5.1.5) works with new Odis version 5.1.6? have anyone tried it?

yes, but you have to copy plugins folder and louncher exe again

Hi all, how to resolve this problem, it`s abnormal to get just 159MB to download from postsetup

and no data found

 in your case do following carefully:

1. de installation of odis Service over control Panel

2. restart pc

3. delete Folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Offboard_Diagnostic_Information_System_Service\

4. delete Folder C:\ODIS-DIAG-MODULES

5. restart pc

6. install odis-s new. after finish installation do not restart pc

7. copy OffboardDiagLauncher.exe to installation folder and overwrite the exited file. (should be in your package)

8. copy plugins folder (should be in your package)

to C:\Program Files (x86)\Offboard_Diagnostic_Information_System_Service\

(in this folder must be the !!)

9. restart pc

10. installation of postsetup

I get a problem while installing odis 5.1.5 first when i installed there was an issue with vas 5054A connection then i uninstalled it when i do the installation again this error pops up

Put the unziped data into the \PostSetup\Odis folder and iset in the Odis-S application MIRROR SERVER2 to this drive letter.

How to get GM TECH2 CANdi module to work

355The Candi Module should not plugged into your Tech 2 Scan Tool unless you’re working on a later car ..generally 2005 plus. Olders car from 96 should NOT have the Candi Module attached.

OBD I only has 1 ground, so 12 pin adapter connects signal and chassis ground to the Tech 2 cable.

OBD II has chassis and signal ground and they are connected in the cars wiring.

How I was trying to get GM TECH2 CANdi module to work:
Nothing on CANdi end of cable.
Boot screen not showing CANdi present, diagnostics for CANdi says it isn’t seen.
Here I connected OBD I adapter to end of CANdi cable:
OBD I adapter connected.

CANdi module shows up at boot screen.
Green LED flashes about once every second.
Diagnostic screens for CANdi now present. Hit ENTER, 4, 7 to get to this screen.

Vxdiag and customized settings: handy!

It’s handy for doing stuff like turning off the passenger seat belt warning (my dog rides over there sometimes and doesn’t like wearing his belt) or setting the wiper de-icer to work for as long as I tell it to instead of a 12 minute cycle. Or make the door locks unlock with one press of the remote. All of this is stuff you won’t be able to do (AFAIK) with any other scanner.

I also rebuild wrecks and it’s the only thing that will talk to the airbag systems so I can figure out WTF is making the light stay on after cobbling together a car from 2 or 3 others.


Vxdiag Subaru diagnostics: works!

Complete access to everything with the ability to read and clear codes and manipulate other features. More or less everything that the dealership can do.

It just depends on if you think having complete access to all the systems in the car is worth it. It’s nice to have when I need it. I had a VDC code that was for the steering angle sensor. Rather than go to the dealer, I just busted out the knock off SSM and calibrated it in the driveway.


Vxdiag and new remotes: works!

It should perform “learning control” of TCM after clearing memory2 was done. So, it might be able to program a new remote. if you already know how to use SSM and you know it well enough to tell if this pirate copy is acting up vs. the real thing. It’s not like they give you a license or support, so you’d better already know exactly what you’re doing with it.


Vxdiag Subaru key programming: a bit different!

It is a bit different from most. I make and program keys for a living and for a while the SSM was the only thing that would program the prox fobs. Not true anymore but I still paid less for the VXdiag with software than I would for a single piece of software for my T-code pro. . and there are 3 for Subaru. I have one which only covers the earliest models.

By the way , you have to have a NASTF LSID or be very good friends with a Subaru parts manager.

You need an immobilizer code (which is VIN specific) to program keys/fobs. It does not change so once you have it for your car you can go nuts. Odds are your dealer would probably give you YOUR immobilizer code if you shop there somewhat regularly. They may charge you for it as I know they have to pay a couple of bucks to mama subie for them.

There’s also an ‘enabling password’ which is also static and I suppose is a very flimsy extra layer of security to protect the immobilizer features of the SSM. It’s 3781.


Expiry date and additional software: worthy!

Someone says it will stop working after expiry date. Actually, don’t know and don’t care. mine says 2026, that’s like 9 years from now. If I have it that long and nothing better comes along, I got my money’s worth. I will say licenses for additional software titles (toyota, etc.) are only like $20 extra so I’d speculate renewing the license will be cheap if it becomes an issue.
