How to activate and set up Mercedes Benz MB SD Connect C4 2016.03 DAS Xentry EPC on Windows 8 via WIFI wireless connection?

Preparation
Step 1 – Run StartKeyCenter
Step 2 – Action to avoid Xentry reactivation
Step 3- Run Get Hardware ID
Step 4 – Run EPC & WIS
Step 5 – Add “license” to registry
Step 6 – Run EPC & WIS with new password
Step 7 – Network setup
Step 8 – Run SDconnect Toolkit
Step 9 – Diagnosis case on Mercedes-Benz B245
NOTE: Setup Date and Time of the laptop as current date and time

Step 1 – Run StartKeyCenter
Open “StartKeyCenter” on Desktop, to get the SDconnect c4 Hardware ID and App ID

Complete Licence information (Hardware ID, App ID, StartDay, ExpirationDay), then click “Generate” to get License String

Copy License String, then go to “StartKeys”, click “Enter” to read StartKey, then “Save” data

Step 2 – Action to avoid Xentry reactivation
Go to Local Disk C:/ ProgramData/ LicDir, the copy and paste “lic_key_2.dat”, re-name as “lic-key_2.x4711”

Setup Properties of “lic-key_2.x4711”, select Read-only
Then open XENTRY Diagnostics Openshell and close it
(NOTE: this avoids the activation code to be lost and reactivate XENTRY)

Step 3- Run Get Hardware ID
Run the software “Get Hardware ID” , copy the generated hardware ID to a newly-established Notepad name “key”.

Step 4 – Run EPC & WIS
Run “EPC & WIS” on Desktop and Login with user name: admin & password: 12345

Go to “server”-> “edit the access authorization”

Copy current MAC address (LAN ID) to the new Notepad
Save data and close

Step 5 – Add “license” to registry
Add “license” to registry

Then open “key” Notepad, you will see input data, EPCnet & WISnet password

Back to EPC & WIS interface, and copy the new EPC & WIS password on “key” Notepad

Go to “programs”

Set IP address:172.29.127.110 and Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Run SDconnect Toolkit and cancel selection of “WLAN parameters.workshop” and “WLAN parameters.road”

Go to Passenger car and select B(245)

Select engine and transmission, here: engine- 266.980, transmission- all
Identification is complete
Click the diagnostic icon on the left, and XENTRY turns to DAS interface automatically
Read note of using DAS 2016.03, click F2 to continue
Again, read another note and click F2 to continue
Select Date of manufacturer to read vehicle data, here: up to 11/2005
Select engine and steering, here: engine- gasoline, steering- left-hand steering
Select 245.234 B 200 Turbo
Do Quick Test on 245.234 All control unit
MB 245 test result
Enter driven total distance, and then back to quick test interface again
